The most influential and important ways for my property managers is the way that it reports problems that are occurring on the property. With the reporting, we are able to establish if there are broken heads, broken lateral lines, or broken main lines, which are big deals. It's able to report the exact zone and location of the break, which in turn saves on labor for irrigation technicians. The property manager will know exactly what's going on in real time rather than us investigating it and getting back to them a day later on what the issue is.

The problems we had before we installed the Smart Rain controllers were that the stations were all different and manual. You had to go in and manually set them. Some of these controllers were installed in people's offices or cubicles, and you would have to interrupt these folks to turn them off, adjust events, or reset schedules. By having the Smart Rain controller, you can do this all remotely. I've been able to limit the number of call-outs to the site for irrigation contractors and the time it takes them to diagnose a problem because of the flow sensors and monitoring that's done. When a tech comes on site, they already know which zone they need to look at rather than running through the whole system, which saves me an hour in tech time.

I love that I can log on every single morning when I get to work and see what alerts have been triggered on my properties. This gives me confidence in what's going on. It's very beneficial for me because it makes me look good to the tenants and the owners. When that happens, business is only going to grow from there.
