The technology of the controller has made the engineer's job so much easier and more efficient. My name is Joe Gutierrez, and I'm the Senior Chief Engineer for Cushman & Wakefield. My favorite feature is that you don't have to be on the property to adjust schedules or turn them off for events. You could even be on vacation and make adjustments.
The issues we had with the controllers before were that they were manual. You had to go in and manually set them, and some of these controllers were installed in people's offices or cubicles. You would have to interrupt these folks to turn them off for events or reset schedules. With the Smart Rain controller, you can do this all remotely, with no interruption to those in their work areas.
In terms of man-hours, using the Smart Rain controller saves a lot of time compared to a manual controller. When you're checking sprinkler heads or systems, it used to be a two-man operation. With the Smart Rain controller, you only need one person. This saves a lot of man-hours for the owners, property management, and Smart Rain technicians.
