I work with a company called Western Management, and we manage a whole variety of different properties, from residential apartments to homeowners associations, all the way up to commercial real estate, including office, retail, and industrial spaces. Smart Rain has resolved a few pain points for us. Living in a drought desert climate, many of our landlords and clients are always pushing for more green initiatives for their buildings. One of the pain points we've been able to alleviate, especially on the waterfront, is our water consumption. Each of the properties has a dedicated service team that's responsive whenever we have problems. They monitor the water flow so that whenever there is an issue, they can bring it up to us before we have to bring it up to them. That's part of the reason we moved forward with Smart Rain as opposed to another company.
One of my favorite Smart Rain features is the app that they have. You can log on to the app and see your property, and they have it all mapped out to different areas so you can see your zones for your different landscaping. With that, you can manually adjust the water consumption and the scheduling of it coming on and off. It just makes it a lot easier, especially when it comes time to do maintenance on the system. You can find and pinpoint issues in the app, as well as reduce or turn off the controls from there.
We weren't really reluctant to move forward with Smart Rain. Their costs are very competitive, and they've been able to provide a cost-benefit analysis. They can show us in real time how long it would take us to recover our initial investment in their product and service. There wasn't a lot of hesitation moving forward with them because of the cost savings benefit they were able to show up front. They had other properties they could provide as examples, showing the amount of water and cost savings they achieved. In the long run, it's working out better for us and saving us more money.
I would recommend Smart Rain. They're a great company that stands behind their product and service. Their product saves not only water but also money for those who have investments in landscaping or property. There's just an overall benefit to using the company.
