Cleaning out this inline debris filter on the main line. We've got an issue where the filter is clogged up a bit and affecting the flow of our sprinkler system. First, we're going to shut off the main line using the shut-off valve right in front of the filter. We'll release the pressure off this filter, and hopefully, it just spins right off. As you can see, our filter is full of junk.
Once the filter was removed, I took a rag and scrubbed all the debris off the inside and outside so you can see through it again. Now, installation is just the reverse: filter first, then the lid and the collar. Finally, we need to restore water at the very end, so we're going to turn that back on.
